Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*

I am from the Illustrious State of Maryland where I have been a resident all of my life. Product of Prince Georges County Public School System.

My mother instilled in me, education is Key and it doesn't matter what college you choose, always stay true to God and yourself, and Success is inevitable.

Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*

HBCU IS LIFE, the overall experience, the relationships, the education and life long memories that can only be made at an HBCU.

What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*

The Greatest Choice I ever made was attending University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I found myself, developed quality and lasting relationships and I started my journey to changing the lives of those considered to be “the least of these.”.

Staying out past midnight
Attending parties and not have my mother calling to see where I am
