Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I never had thoughts choosing an HBCU over a pwi.
I decided to become a student at my HBCU through reputation, mostly by accreditation.
What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
All I could say about my experience about my HBCU is what you make out of it. You just have to get out there and get involved.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
I have many: first award my freshman year, first award in athletics that’s also during my freshman year, first time in a pageant and I don’t really do pageants like that but I did and got 1st runner up.
Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
One professor I would like to say that is leaving the most impression is my General Studies professor Dr. Early, because she sees how I carried myself on a positive perspective.
I would also like to say is my academic advisor Dr. (Richard) Smith (Chairperson of the Division of Business Administration). He always want me stay proactive, and get out there and do it.

There so many of them, but turns out they have boyfriends, and I was kind of upset a little bit.
Ghost stories involving buildings or spots on campus?
Not that I heard of.
What is your major? and Why did you choose it?
My major is Business Administration, and I choose it because I want to become an Administrative Assistant or to work within a computer-related business.

I know at halftime of the mens basketball game, its often the sororities and fraternities of each greek letter organizations.
During basketball games we go by the cheerleader’s famous “Do Those Hornets Rock?” cheer.

Yes I am. I’m a Student Ambassador, member of Phi Beta Lambda Incorporated, and a student athlete.

The “yard” is actually located on campus.
What and where are the historical places on campus?
We have three buildings that are historical and they are not far apart from each other.

My saddest moment is that I got held back for a year because I have not met the required grade from one of my courses.
What adversities (hardships) have you overcome to become the strong person that you are?
What is your process when you are going through a hardship that you have never faced before?
I talk to some of my closest friends and tell them that I’m going to miss out on this graduation. They give me some encouraging words. They told me don’t let that discourage you and always keep your head up.
Are you a member of a fraternity?
I didn’t pledge in a D9 greek organization, but I did pledge Phi Beta Lambda, and my reason is that I know I can bring ideas to the table.
Ever since I pledged, I have brought the idea to update our wall on campus.
