Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
Carthage, MS. I come from a small town and almost everyone was an Alcornite so I was introduced to HBCUs early on.

HBCU=Lifelong friendships
Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I chose an HBCU because I felt that it was the best choice for me. I knew that I needed to be nurtured by people who looked like me.

Brotherhood
What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
My experience at Alcorn was one that broke me, built me, and molded me. I was exposed to professionals that were not only successful in their field but cared enough to push me to be more. I discovered a family.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
I was introduced to parties for the first time. I wasn’t a very popular person in high school so I never went to parties. This experience was one I enjoyed.
Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
I can’t even begin to name all the people who helped me along the way. I was fed, sponsored, prayed over, encouraged, and trained by some great people. The two professors that pushed me the most were Dr. Sherlynn Hall and Mr. Larry Sanders.
