What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*

MVSU Mean Green Marching Music Machine Band was the first HBCU Band selected to perform in the Tournament of Roses Parade. The band my freshman year was selected as the Honor Band to perform for President George H Bush.

"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*

Attending UAPB homecoming with Lanier Jr. high School marching band under the direction of Mr. Joseph Nelson, participating in the homecoming parade. the campus was electrifying.

Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*

The Director of Bands Mr. Leonard Tramiel, he taught his students the true meaning of burning the midnight oil. He believed that you must work hard for everything you want in life. He shared with us if you can make it at the Valley you can make it anywhere!
