Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
Saint Louis, Missouri. My parents introduced me to HBCUs at a young age and I’ve been fascinated with them ever since.

Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I chose a HBCU over a pwi because it was more about what i wanted to experience during my college years. About the connections i want to make with black millennials and people who think just like me.

Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
Dr. Alicia Smith-Leathers. She has been another mother to me since my junior year of high school. She took me under her wing and allowed me to become someone who I can depend on for advice and someone I can look up to. She tells me the real and doesn’t hold back.
What sports and/or extra curricular activities did you do in High School? And why?
