Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
I am from Albany, Georgia: Home of Albany State University. I was introduced by alumni family.

As a side hustle at an HBCU, I twist hair. I twisted both of their hair!
Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I chose an HBCU since I went to a white middle school.
That school had slick racism that hurt me and set me off from being around more white people.
What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
NCA&T is home to the Greensboro Four.
This means that, naturally, the students are invested in activism for the black community. I have always considered myself a militant activist but going here just pushed me to be more militant and want more change for the black community.

I twisted his hair too! The hair business is very important at an HBCU
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
My first time experience at an HBCU is doing hair for money. I wasn’t aware that so many people needed their hair done until I advertised my services.
Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
My African American Studies teacher influenced me the most since she allows for us to be angry about the world.
She endorses activism in a way that seems normalized.
Entrepreneur? Tell us about your business.
I do hair, edit videos and make wigs. Advertising these things really come in handy when you need some money.
I would have to say that this is the best side hustle that I have ever had. Sometimes it clashes with my other orgs and homework but it definitely keeps me the right amount of busy.
