December 2017 First Book Signing
Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
The choice was made by my mother. She felt it was safe during a time of uncertainty.

What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
The story is people, community, and an education that expands outside the classroom. Pride in who I am, my culture and history. The best mentors and friends, who I continue to support and love me through life’s journey.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
My new friends and I attended a Greek show my second week on campus. The uniqueness and excitement of it left my heart smiling! To be in a place where so many looked like me and shared my dreams of success was overwhelming.
Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
Former News broadcaster, Diana Fallis had the class write an obituary. Once shared, we were encouraged to live the life we hoped to be remembered by.
