Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
I am from Ruston, LA. My mother introduced me to HBCU’s.

I crossed DBW...Fall 17
Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I chose an HBCU over a pwi because I felt as though I could get that actual college experience.
The main purpose for coming to college is to get your education but at an HBCU you’re getting the experience that your ancestors fought for !
What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
My experience at my HBCU has given me the chance to open up myself more , it has given me the chance to go out for opportunities that I thought I would never get a chance to go out for.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
I went out for the Calendar/ Covergirl pageant and after trying 2 times, I won my birthday month - MISS MAY 2019.

Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
It has been quite a few (professors) who have made my experience better yet taught me how to be persistent and never give up.
How are you positively active on campus? (e.g. clubs, SGA, etc.)
I am a part of quite a few organizations ...I’m a 3 year SGA member (freshman class senator, Sophomore class Sec/Treasure, Junior Class Sec/Treasure)...FSUB, The Society of Distinguished Black Women Inc., Tiger Mentor, Tiger Doll.
