Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
I am from Indianapolis, Indiana and I was introduced to HBCUs by my mother.

Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I chose an HBCU because I love the atmosphere of the campus. It feels like a huge family and I love to see people that look like me thriving..

What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
I have not stepped on campus as a student yet.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
I haven’t had one of these yet.
Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
I am not currently a student yet I will be in the fall.
What factors did you look at to choose the HBCU that was best for you? Why did you feel your HBCU was a good fit for you?
I looked for something that looked and felt like my high school. I felt Tennessee State was best for me because it reflected exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable.
How did you study for your college entrance exams? (I.e. SAT, ACT, AP exams, NMSQT, etc.)
I used old SAT tests and took classes for about a year to make sure I was completely prepared.
What activities do you do at home and over the summer in preparation for college?
I attended multiple pre-college programs to help me get a feel of what being away from home and on a campus really felt like.
What advice would you give to other high school students thinking about their future?
I would say look first look into what school is the best for your major and make sure you know what the campus feels like before you make a solid decision.
