Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
HBCU was gathering in front of Lee Hall with the entire student body for our 2008 election party sponsored by TV One. I still get chills when I think about the tears streaming down each face.
Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*

What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
FAMU is the best thing that ever happened to me. I owe every bullet point on my resume to the knowlegde and connections I acquired on the Highest of Seven Hills. My beloved alma matter help mold me into the confident young woman I am today.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*

Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
The infamous Professor Kenneth Jones. He challenged me by pushing me to my limit. I often questioned my love for journalism and my will to succeed in college. He doesn’t know it but I’ve quit at least once each semester that I had his class. He taught me that life won’t be easy and I will not always be the best but a little faith applied to my best will get me through life.
Best restaurants on/near campus? Best dishes?
I loved going to the Rattler’s Nest on Friday’s for fish and grits. I also loved going to the Cafe for breakfast. The waffles were amazing but after gaining the freshmen 15 plus five, I learned to visit the Cafe and Rattler’s Nest in moderation.
College crush?
I had several crushes in college. None are worth reflecting on. Trust me.
