2

Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*

In pursuit of my Juris Doctorate in hopes to enter into Politics, I wanted to understand the Law from “our” perspective, with staff who understand the hardships in this field.

After getting my undergrad at a pwi and than getting my Masters, in Public Administration, at one of the most diverse schools in the Nation. Obtaining a Degree from an HBCU will exemplify my interest in returning to my community and helping the underrepresented.

Professor Williams & Carlos: Have guided me along my academic journey, taking out the extra time to help in areas where I needed the extra help. By way of holding late office hours, sending the extra email to check-in and, holding me accountable.

Professor Griffin: Most intelligent professor I have ever met, does not teach at the average pace, easily the most challenging class I have ever taken, but outside the classroom, a great mentor. Will provide me with real heart to heart advice, allows me to come to him in regards to anything at all I need someone to speak about. Important as an African American Male to have another African American Male to talk to.
