Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
Native of Atlanta Georgia. With both my parents attending PWI's I would say a mixture of family members and social media helped with introducing me to the HBCU life.

Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I chose an HBCU over PWI simply because I saw that look of family-oriented love and the diverse culture.
What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
My experience at my HBCU has been AMAZING. I love my SSU!! I have been able to step outside my comfort zone and make my mark as a stellar student and person. The experience is like no other and it’s something that I will forever remember.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
My “First time experience” at my HBCU was spring semester campaign season. Which is nothing like high school homecoming queen campaigning. It’s a different level of creativity. Every candidate is different and it’s so cool to see their personalities in there campaign. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
The professor that has impacted my life in and out of the classroom would be my Chemistry professor Dr. Jenkins. She is someone that i can go talk to about academic problems and life problems. I know that she has my best interest at heart and that she will be there for me.
Best restaurants on/near campus? Best dishes?
The best on campus dish is most definitely Fried Chicken Wednesday. The chicken is good!’ The Mac and Cheese is awesome and the yams be on point!!!! Not only is the food good at SSU we have Dress For Success Wednesday.
This is where everyone on campus wears their best professional suits and dresses. Everyone looks great, it’s just soo nice to see how well people can clean up. Because SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY is always going to STEPPPPPPP.
