Where are you from? Who introduced you to HBCUs?*
The lovely land of Lincoln Springfield Illinois. The Springfield urban league introduced me to HBCUs!

Why did you choose an HBCU over a pwi?*
I would rather attend a university that understands me and my ethnic background. Plus there’s nothing better than being with people who may share the same history as you.
What is the story of your "experience" at Your HBCU given its heralded status as a stellar and prestigious institution?*
Ever since I stepped foot on the campus of HSSU I’ve been nothing but an outstanding student. The warm family environment of the school made me feel more comfortable being away from home.
"First time" experiences at your HBCU?*
Joining a collegiate level cheer team, I’ve never cheered before.

Who are the professors that have impacted your life in and out of the classroom? How did they do that?*
Dr.Carr he was my theater teacher who taught me so much about African Americans who thrive as actors, dancers, artists, and singers.
What is your major? and Why did you choose it?
I chose my major because working with children has always been my passion. I love being a mentor, pouring knowledge into the younger generation.
